Apple and Google Claim Bill to Open App Distribution Would Compromise Privacy, Security

Google and Apple argue that the American Innovation and Choice Online Act could weakening Americans’ privacy and data security, in the process of giving them the ability to download software from other sources rather than going through their “app stores.” The bill recently went through mark-up by the Senate Judiciary Committee.
