France Fines Facebook and Google for Making Cookies Hard to Refuse

France's National Commission on Informatics and Liberty (Commission nationale de l'informatique et des libertés, or CNIL) has fined Google and Facebook €150 million and €60 million respectively – nearly $240 million combined – for making it harder to refuse cookies than to accept them.
