Homeland Secretary and Top Cybersecurity Officials Meet with Silicon Valley Leaders to Stress Cybersecurity Priorities

Federal cybersecurity officials met on December 6 with more than a dozen representatives of leading technology and cybersecurity companies to address how they can improve cybersecurity-related public-private partnerships. The areas of discussion included strengthening operational collaboration and defining metrics of success. The talks were rooted in a comprehensive analysis of the evolving threat environment, and focused on what government and industry can do together to build global cybersecurity resilience.

Government attendees included Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas, National Cyber Director Chris Inglis, CISA Director Jen Easterly, and DHS Under Secretary for Policy Rob Silvers. The companies represented included AT&T, Broadcom, Cisco, Cloudflare, Google, Juniper Networks, Lumen, Mandiant, Microsoft, Palo Alto Networks, Recorded Future, SecureWorks, Tenable, and VMWare.
