CISA Publishes Cybersecurity Incident Response and Vulnerability Response Playbooks with Intent of Increasing Expectations for the Private Sector

On November 16, 2021, the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) released Federal Government Cybersecurity Incident and Vulnerability Playbooks as part of the Biden Administration’s efforts to improve the nation’s cybersecurity in accordance with Executive Order 14028. The Playbooks are intended to apply to federal civilian executive branch (FCEB) agencies, federal contractors who operate an information system on behalf of a FCEB agency, and information and communications technology (ICT) service providers who have contracted with FECB agencies.
