National Cyber Director Anticipates EO Clarifying Top Federal Cybersecurity Roles

National Cyber Director Chris Inglis says that the Biden administration is working on an executive order that will spell out more clearly the areas of responsibility among the various cybersecurity officials in the federal government, a question frequently asked during debate over the creation of Inglis’ office. Director of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Agency Jen Easterly and Deputy National Security Adviser for Cyber and Emerging Technology Anne Neuberger are two individuals whose “turf” is seen to overlap with his.
