Joint Warfighter Cloud Contract’s Cybersecurity Test Will Resemble FedRAMP’s

Defense CISO David McKeown says that contractors for the Joint Warfighter Cloud Capability contract will need to pass a DISA-administered cybersecurity test similar to the one required for FedRAMP certification. While the programs will be basically the same, McKeown says the test will include “some controls that are a little bit over and above what FedRAMP does.” The JWCC replaces the now-cancelled Joint Enterprise Defense Infrastructure (JEDI) contract to provide DoD with an enterprise-wide cloud service; it will be a multi-vendor, multi-cloud offering.
