UK Defense Official Exposes Email Addresses of Afghan Interpreters

An official of the United Kingdom’s Ministry of Defence exposed the email addresses of 250 Afghan interpreters who had worked for them and now seek to immigrate to the UK, and whose lives and families are in danger from the Taliban. He sent a group email message with all of their addresses in the header, enabling any of the recipients to see the entire list, including associated profile pictures in some cases. Also, before the recipients were alerted about the error, some had replied to all, unwittingly exposing the information in their responses to the other recipients as well.
