The Biden Statement on Corruption: The Role of Corporate Compliance

Tom Fox praises President Biden's memorandum establishing anti-corruption efforts as a matter of national security, which he says “validates the long-recognized intersection of corruption begets crime which begets terrorism.” The DOJ and SEC are expected to be joined in enforcing the FCPA with an increased role for the Departments of Commerce, State, Homeland Security, Defense, and Treasury, as well as agencies including OFAC, CFTC, and the IRS.
