Compliance and the “Unethical Request”

Tom Fox writes about the four factors identified by the 2021 Global Business Ethics Survey to influence ethical decisions by employees: “pressure in the workplace to compromise ethical standards; observations of misconduct; reporting misconduct; and, ultimately, the retaliation perceived by employees after they reported misconduct.” He notes reported increases in pressure and observations as concerning trends.
