South Carolina Lab Owner Settles Allegations of Kickbacks for Urine Drug Testing Referrals

Philip McHugh, a co-owner of Physicians Choice Laboratory Services, a defunct South Carolina diagnostic testing laboratory, has agreed to pay over $2 million to resolve allegations that he submitted millions of dollars in false claims for reimbursement to the Medicare program, violating the FCA and the Anti-Kickback Statute.
