CISA Outlines its Plans for American Rescue Plan Funds

Eric Goldstein, executive assistant director for cybersecurity at CISA, says that the additional $650 million allocated by the American Rescue Plan will have a huge impact on its efforts to secure federal networks, in four areas: 1) deployment of detection sensors within federal agencies, 2) expanding their capacity for incident response and threat hunting, 3) improving their capacity to conduct analysis of information about risks and threats across the executive branch, and 4) changing the defensive network architecture of agencies to adopt zero-trust principles.
