Audit Finds DHS Lacking in Oversight of Privacy

An audit by the DHS Office of Inspector General indicates that there have been a significantly increasing number of major and minor privacy incidents over the past two years – six in 2019 and 2020 – with systems exposing the personally identifiable information of hundreds of thousands of people.
