State Department Announces Long-Delayed Plans to Create Cybersecurity Office

The Department of State has announced plans to create a Bureau of Cyberspace Security and Emerging Technologies, addressing a “need to reorganize and resource America’s cyberspace and emerging technology security diplomacy.” However, it is unclear whether the incoming Biden administration will execute those plans, or instead take other steps it has already announced.
