Pentagon Acquisition Chief Clarifies Temporary Extension for Implementing Chinese Equipment Ban

Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition and Sustainment Ellen Lord has confirmed that the Director of National Intelligence provided a waiver to the Pentagon extending the deadline for government contractors to comply with the new Section 889 rule restricting use of Huawei and other Chinese companies, but only for a narrow set of low-risk commodities.
