FCPA Compliance Puts the Spotlight on Internal Accounting Controls

Matt Kelly of Radical Compliance points out that the newly revised FCPA Resource Guide makes clear that the shorthand term “internal controls” means internal accounting controls, and should provide “reasonable assurance” that transactions are executed as authorized, transactions are recorded properly, access to assets are authorized, and assets are periodically accounted for and discrepancies addressed.
