Former VA CHCO Steered $5 M Training and Development Contract to Friends, IG Says

The Department of Veterans Affairs Office of Inspector General reported that Peter Shelby, who briefly served as VA’s assistant secretary for human resources and administration, improperly used a sole-source authority to award a $5 million contract to two of his friends, on the grounds that no other company could provide the requirement.
