Halliburton Can’t Recover Costs Only Tangentially Related to Document Production; United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit No. 19-7064, U.S. ex rel. Harry Barko v. Halliburton Company et al.

The DC Circuit affirmed in part a district court’s decision granting Halliburton certain costs related to document production during discovery in a qui tam case, but reversed and remanded in part, finding that a significant portion of the claimed costs were either discretionary or only tangentially related to the direct task of producing the relevant documents.
