Half of Kansas’ Audited Agencies Failed Cybersecurity Checks

According to a new audit, more than half of the state agencies in Kansas failed to comply with security standards and best practices, with 11 of 19 audited agencies — including major departments such as the University of Kansas system, the Department for Children and Families, the Department of Education, and the Kansas Secretary of State — falling short of standards required by state statute.
