Texas Businessman Sentenced to 70 Months in Prison for Role in Venezuela Bribery Scheme and Obstruction of Justice

Alfonzo Eliézer Gravina Muñoz of Texas, a former procurement officer of Venezuela’s state-run energy company Petróleos de Venezuela S.A., has been sentenced to 70 months in prison, followed by three years of supervised release, and restitution to the IRS of nearly $215,000, in addition to about $590,000 in bribes previously forfeited.
