FTC Sanctions Defunct Cambridge Analytica: So What?

Following a 5-0 vote, the Federal Trade Commission concluded that London-based Cambridge Analytica "engaged in deceptive practices to harvest personal information from tens of millions of Facebook users" and sanctioned the company for misusing that data as part of voter-targeting campaigns.
