United States Recovers Over $137,000 Resolving Allegations that Federal Gas Lessee Violated the False Claims Act

Charles Janksy – and his companies Somont Oil Company and Ferdig Oil Company – have agreed to pay $137,500 to settle charges that they violated the False Claims Act by failing to pay money owed to the Department of the Interior’s Office of Natural Resources Revenue for natural gas produced from federal leases in Montana.
