Marriott Moves to Dismiss Data Breach Lawsuit, Says Passport Numbers Useless to Hackers

Marriott filed to dismiss a consolidated class action over last year’s cyberattack exposing the personal information of 383 million guests, by making the standard defense argument that none of the named plaintiffs in the case had suffered actual harm, but also arguing that hackers cannot use the stolen passport numbers.
