Two Former Venezuelan Officials Charged and Two Businessmen Plead Guilty in Connection with Venezuela Bribery Scheme

Luis Alfredo Motta Dominguez, a former Venezuelan minister of electrical energy, and Eustiquio Jose Lugo Gomez, a former procurement director at Venezuela’s state-run Corporación Eléctrica Nacional, have been charged with receiving and laundering bribes to award Corpoelec business to three Florida-based companies.
