Four Companies Settle FTC Allegations Regarding False EU-US Privacy Shield Certifications

The FTC announced settlements with four companies resolving allegations that each had falsely claimed to have obtained valid certifications under the EU-US Privacy Shield framework, when in fact those certifications had either lapsed or never been completed.
