Australia Sues Equifax, Alleges False Claims to Consumers

Although Australia was left unscathed by Equifax's massive data breach, the company faces a new problem in the country, as the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission alleges the credit reporting firm deceived vulnerable consumers by misrepresenting its products, and by charging for services that should have been provided free.
