Senator Grassley Goes to the Senate Floor to Blast Court Decisions that Place “Bogus Restrictions” on False Claims Act Whistleblower Cases

Senator Chuck Grassley (R-IA) recently spoke in the Senate to defend the whistleblower provisions of the False Claims Act, saying that recent court decisions are weakening “the most effective tool to combat government fraud” by “piling on bogus restrictions that are not the law.” Grassley cited $56 billion collected since 1986 from contractors who have defrauded the federal government, as demonstration of the FCA's effectiveness.
