France Gets Serious About Anti-Corruption
Earlier this year the French government enacted Sapin II, an anti-bribery and corruption law that strengthened transparency and anti-corruption provisions and established a new agency – the Agence Francaise Anti-corruption – which possesses both investigatory and supervisory authority, as well as the power to impose financial sanctions against non-compliant companies.
