AmeriCorps Grantee Executive Director Found Guilty and Debarred for Submitting Fraudulent Timesheets

An investigation by the Corporation for National & Community Service Office of Inspector General found that Mary Cristina Ortiz, Executive Director of AmeriCorps grantee the Wellness Coalition, defrauded the government by allowing two AmeriCorps members to submit timesheets falsely claiming they performed AmeriCorps service while they attended college in another state.
