New DHS Chief Can Handle Cybersecurity Mission: Former Officials

Former Department of Homeland Security officials say that acting DHS Secretary Elaine Duke is prepared to follow through on the department's cybersecurity initiatives. Although Duke isn’t a cybersecurity specialist, she “is well-positioned to advance DHS’ cyber mission” due to her experience within the department and strong relationships with DHS cybersecurity leaders, explained Jonathan Meyer, a former deputy general counsel at DHS.
