NIST Finalizes Radical Update of Digital ID Guidelines

The National Institute of Standards and Technology has finalized an update to its guidance on digital identity authentication, which eliminates outdated requirements such as frequent password changes, and introduces standards related to biometrics and other two-factor authentication methods.
