GSA May Make Industry Participation in Data Reporting Pilot Optional Voluntary

Voluntary participation in the General Services Administration's Transactional Data Reporting pilot was stronger than expected, so GSA may drop mandatory participation for vendors seeking or renewing a schedule contract. Kevin Youel Page, deputy commissioner of GSA’s Federal Acquisition Service, said the mandate was necessary to hedge against low participation and currently applies to any industry partner coming in to seek a new schedule or anyone who was renewing an option.
