New Rule: Even the Appearance of a Conflict of Interest Should Be Avoided for Government Employees

The Project on Government Oversight says new rules from the Office of Government Ethics governing the solicitation and acceptance of gifts to government employees from outside sources–though non-binding–is a step forward for good government.
