EDPS Issues Opinion on Coherent Enforcement of Fundamental Rights in the Age of Big Data

The European Data Protection Supervisor has issued an opinion on data privacy calling for a digital enforcement clearing house for EU authorities responsible for regulating the digital sector; an EU values-based common area on the web where individuals are able to interact without being tracked; and improved representation of the individual’s interest in the mergers of companies with significant quantities of personal data.
